Spring ’22 Update

Hello everyone!

I wanted to take a moment and give everyone an update on Vision 4 Eternity. Vision 4 Eternity is a short-term mission organization that focuses on connecting worldwide mission opportunities with individuals and churches. We are a voice of opportunity to those in the local church and for individuals who are looking to grow in their faith. For the past 8 months, as the world has started re-opening since the pandemic, these opportunities have also slowly started opening.

This is good news for those who want to share the good news of Jesus Christ to a world that desperately needs the hope of the gospel.

Within these 8 months, we have been praying and seeking God for the next opportunity and I am happy to say that God has opened that door for Vision 4 Eternity. We are excited to announce that we are going to Alaska in June 2022!

We have partnered with the Tirados. The Tirados are a family who took a step of faith to move from Arizona to Kenai, Alaska two years ago. They are a family of 7 and they are all about serving Jesus. Matt and his wife Nicole have been faithfully serving teenagers for many years. So what better place to serve teens than a small town in Alaska. They work with a Christian organization called “The Compass” their mission is to reach today’s teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

One of the unique things about V4E is that when we partner with missionaries we look to support what God is doing versus coming with our agenda of what we think God is doing. With that said, Matt reached out to me asking if we could bring a team that focuses on art. Matt’s desire was to teach the local teens (6th-12th grade students) art but within those art classes teach the students about God being an artist.

This is really neat, because as an artist creates they have a vision of how the end piece will look. As that artist creates, they know why every brushstroke was inserted or why they formed that piece of a sculpture. Each part of the process is meaningful to an artist. Wouldn’t you know that God, being an artist, feels the same way toward us? He knows us, He formed us in our mother’s womb. God has great plans for us even when we feel unfinished. That is what a lot of these kids feel like up in Alaska. Alaska has one of the highest teenage suicide rates in the country.

Our heart is that these teens know they were created by a God who sees them as a masterpiece. We are praying that by using art and teaching Bible lessons, each one of these teens will understand and believe that God loves them and they are wonderfully created.

This is an amazing opportunity and I believe God will touch hearts. We have the opportunity to partner with Nichole Kluth, my wife, and her students from Divine Art Institute. We are taking 16 people who have this vision and want to use their gifts and talents to love on the teens in Kenai.

The trip will be from June 19th – June 25th, we will be busy loving on this small community. I know that God will show up and do mighty works through this V4E team for His Glory.

Please be praying for the team, the teens, and their families that we will be serving, and for more opportunities for Vision 4 Eternity as we desire that all should come to repentance and a relationship with Jesus Christ.
